This 46-kilometre loop is designed for walkers wishing to discover the vineyards and heritage of Saint-Emilion over 1 or 2 days. The 1st part, to the south near Sainte-Terre, is easy and offers fine views over the Dordogne. From St Pey-d'Armens, you can reach Saint-Emilion via Saint-Hippolyte and Saint-Laurent-des-Combes (30 km loop). The 2nd part, north towards Montagne, is more undulating (a long climb of 10% from Château de Pressac). It offers panoramic views of the vineyards and monuments to discover.

Château Croix de Labrie is a 5.78 hectare estate located in the heart of the AOC Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, an appellation that inevitably brings to mind Burgundy with its mosaic of plots and producers. The vineyard is worked by Axelle Courdurié from pruning to harvesting, then to vinification and maturing. Axelle is very attentive to detail and brings her feminine sensitivity to the wines of Croix de Labrie. The plots are located in Badon, Saint-Sulpice and on the clay-limestone plateau of Saint-Christophe-des-Bardes next to our cellar (dating back to 1687). The main grape variety on the property is Merlot (90%) but we also have a few rows of Cabernet Sauvignon (7%) and Cabernet Franc (3%). The soils are worked, ploughed and double Guyot pruned.

The Château Tour Saint Christophe is a mid-18th century property, located at the limit between the two villages of Saint-Émilion and Saint Christophe des Bardes. Consisting of 11 hectares on the northern clay and limestone hills of Saint Emilion, the château overlooks beautiful ancient dry stone terraces restored by hand as original during a complete renovation of the estate ordered by the owners Peter Kwok and his daughter Elaine in 2012, preserving the richness of the legacy from the past.

Château Louis has vines over 50 years old coming from the beautiful clay-limestone soils in the heart of the Saint-Emilion appellation. Due to the density of plantation and the age of the vines, the yields are more than moderate with a concentrated and quality material of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. After the manual harvest, the vinification in temperature-controlled wooden vats takes place under the direction of Stéphane Derenoncourt.

Château Gaubert has been a family property since 1954, handed down from father to daughter. Located on the clay-limestone plateau of Saint-Emilion, in Saint-Christophe-des-Bardes. The terroir of Château Gaubert is home to 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. Juliette, the third generation, lovingly works her vines with respect under the benevolent eye of her father Gérard Ménager. The Château has been certified HVE3 since 2018. Juliette took over the reins in 2016 with the help of Max Granet her husband. They both work together, Juliette in production, Max in the image and promotion of the château.
