This church is attested from the IXth century, it is dedicated to Saint-Martin (bishop of Tours in the IVth century). During the Hundred Years War, the church was burnt down by the English twice (in 1356 then in 1412). The side chapels and the choir were built by Robert Stuart, following the fire of 1512. This castle dates back to the late 15th century. Its architecture is typical of maisons fortes built between the Berry and the Bourbonnais in the late Middle Ages. The Association Fontariol Evolution organises during the summer since 2019 a cultural season with outdoors shows (concerts, theatre plays…).
